TV connected, hackers come into your house
Malicious application on Smart TV under Android, dongles of streaming media a wallfull of flaws… Connected TV are easy target.
Connected TVs have more and more success, but not only with the consumers. The hackers are also very interrested, particularly since the systems proposed are not necessarily respectful of good practices regarding safety. Two companies specialized in safety have revealed almost simultaneously major weekness in this area.
The first one, Trend Micro, detected malicious appli for the Smart TV under Android. Broadcast by third web sites, they offer to watch international chanels, for example Asiatics ones. But in reality, they install a backdoor thus the hackers can install any appli on the TV. From this moment, they will be able to get their hands on personal data and infect others devices connected to the domestic network.
